The Rhapsody Resort & Spa Goes Green

At a time when green certification reigns supreme and a whopping 96%* of travelers believe that hotels should be responsible for protecting the environment they operate in, it is no surprise to see more and more hotels heading in a more sustainable direction. Any hotel, however, can set sustainability goals, but it is when they take the necessary strides to meet those goals that we can truly celebrate.

We are excited to announce that The Rhapsody Resort & Spa in the Wisconsin Dells is the first property in the Goodmanagement group to receive a green certification through Green Suites® International! Jeremy Grogg, Vice President of Operations for Goodmanagement, a hospitality management company, recognized the need to go green and took action encouraging properties within his group to become members of the Green Suites® Certified Green Hotel program. The Rhapsody is the first property to make the leap and is proudly promoting its new 3-leaf green rating.

The Green Suites® Certified Green Hotel program is a credible certification rating that identifies responsible properties and helps them obtain the recognition they deserve for their admirable efforts. This rating system is also instrumental in separating properties apart from the competition. It is important to mention that while green hotels are protecting the environment they are also saving money. The program aids hotels in saving energy and water, and reducing waste. An increasing amount of travelers are seeking out environmentally active hotels so they, too, can be involved in conserving water and energy, and recycling.
